OLP and Ritter Academy Form Strategic Alliance to Provide New Online, On-Demand eDiscovery Courses

OLP logoCourses introduce new learning tools to improve understanding and professional skills

According to industry researchers, the e-discovery market was worth more than $4 billion in 2010 and is growing at more than 25 percent annually. As the already sizable industry continues growing, attorneys, litigation support professionals, paralegals, IT professionals and vendors have an equally demanding need for e-discovery and document review training.

"The critical need for e-discovery training must be met with a variety of solutions," announced Chere Estrin, chairperson of OLP. "The self-paced learning solutions offered by The Ritter Academy meet a compelling need for flexible, online professional learning."

OLP and Ritter Academy have formed a strategic alliance to deliver new online, on-demand, self-study programs that address the fundamentals of e-Discovery. The courses, designed by the Ritter Academy, introduce a new learning technique -- using innovative visual information maps -- RitterMaps(TM).

"Our maps enable professionals to unfold and then share with their team, the entire picture of complex e-discovery processes," explained Jeffrey Ritter, Founder of the Ritter Academy. "By teaching with the same tools professionals can use to do their work, we are solving one of the biggest challenges-figuring out how to integrate what we learn into how we do our jobs."

The course design also includes question-based learning techniques that enable students to confirm their mastery of the content as they proceed through the material.

The first five courses include:

  1. Understanding Electronically Stored Information
  2. Legal and Technology Rules for eDiscovery
  3. Navigating the Federal eDiscovery Rules
  4. Discovering the Digital Record -- The Risks of Failure
  5. Identifying the Plaintiff's Duty to Preserve ESI

The courses are available as a bundle and tuition is set at $489.00 and $389.00 for OLP members. Students can access the courses 24/7 and spend as much or as little time as they want in the learning environment.
