Informative Graphics Announces General Release of Brava! 7.1 with Support for Mobile, Video

IGC logoNew Brava Update Allows Users to Collaborate on the Go

At LegalTech NY ’12 today, Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a leader in viewing, collaboration and redaction technology, announces general release of its Brava!® 7.1.

The most notable additions to Brava come in the Enterprise version, which now includes the new Brava Changemark® Viewer for the iPhone, video collaboration and improved enterprise readiness and performance for very large deployments.

The new Brava Changemark Viewer allows smartphone users to participate in collaboration workflows, even on the go. Users can view and reply to comments made by other reviewers using full Brava, and even see a zoomed view of the document for the area in question. The Brava Changemark Viewer is available in an HTML version for all smartphones and as a native application for the iPhone. See a short video here: http://bit.ly/xWh9Fg

The addition of video support enables annotation and collaboration on video clips. Users can add comments and markups to any video clip using the Brava Flash client, included in Brava Enterprise. The Brava Flash client supports any video format playable by the Flash Player, including H.264, a popular mpeg format. See a short video here: http://bit.ly/yvYSmq

Improved high availability through Shared Cache is another step IGC has taken to improve Brava’s speed, performance and scalability, especially for very large deployments. With Shared Cache, in a multi-server installation if a server fails, users connected to that server can simply refresh their Brava session and be actively working again in seconds. No need to wait for their document to be re-processed and reloaded by another Brava Server.

Additional Highlights of Brava 7.1

  • Improved Thumbnails – Desktop and Enterprise users can widen the thumbnail pane to accommodate multiple thumbnail columns and can easily resize the thumbnails.
  • Improved 508 Compliance - Most notably, this release ensures all toolbars and panels have full keyboard accessibility.
  • External Search – In an integrated environment, Brava can deliver document text to an external application, like a search engine, for processing, then receive redaction instructions based on the result of the concept or other search.

Gary Heath, IGC’s President and CEO, said, “IGC is dedicated to offering the best viewing and collaboration software, and we made significant strides towards that in Brava 7.1 with our first steps into mobile and video. These really make Brava more useful to more users, and we’ll be building on these themes throughout 2012.”
