Index Engines, the leader in enterprise discovery technology, today announced Octane Version 4.0, which includes a new graphical user interface (GUI) across all products in the platform and its new Octane for Archiving, a Legal Hold Archive and Collection Repository providing features to automate the left side of the EDRM. The company recently rebranded its product suite with the Octane name.

Index Engines’ Octane Version 4.0 debuts a user-friendly, highly intuitive GUI rebuilt from the ground-up for the entire product suite, including Octane for Backup Data, Exchange/Notes email, Forensic Images, Network Data and the new Archiving.

Octane for Archiving, now available as a module within Octane 4.0, includes powerful new features and a brand new user interface for early data assessment. Index Engines clients now have access to a unified platform for identification, collection and now preservation and litigation hold of ESI, from all sources, in one solution. Accessible data sources include network data, email, forensic images, and backup tapes. ESI managed by the Octane Archive is forensically sound ensuring that all metadata and content is defensible. Users can easily search, find and manage all data sources on a single screen. No other solution provides a cost effective, unified early data assessment platform that can process data from any source, online or offline.

Octane Version 4 is generally available today. Octane starts at $50,000 for a departmental solution; this includes archiving of 100 user accounts.
