Index Engines, a leader in enterprise information management solutions, announces today a partnership with Merrill Corporation, the world’s leading provider of technology-enabled information and document services for professional services firms.

Merrill will use Index Engines’ technology for the collection and processing of Electronically Stored Information (ESI) from networks, desktops, forensic images and legacy backup tapes, for both reactive litigation and proactive litigation readiness.

With the addition of Index Engines’ Litigation Ready® technology to their host of resources, Merrill extends and improves upon how their clients gather, organize and manage confidential and time-sensitive information. Index Engines will help Merrill to support enterprise information governance programs and assist organizations to apply policies across massive data and email environments.

The Index Engines partnership enables Merrill to provide:

  • Identification, collection and preservation of electronic information in support of litigation and compliance
  • Proactive legacy data management- cost effective access and remediation of backup tape data to mitigate risk
  • Deployment of proactive policy against enterprise information assets in order to become litigation ready

“Merrill recognizes the shift in reactive to proactive litigation readiness in which Index Engines technology plays a pivotal role,” states Jim McGann, VP of Information Discovery at Index Engines. “Index Engines is the only platform that both processes data quickly at the enterprise scale level, and provides accessing and indexing of legacy content on tape so policy can be applied. Merrill’s customer base stands to benefit from this partnership, and we are proud to be aligned with Merrill, which is a well-respected leader in the business world.”

Daniel Pelc, Senior Marketing Director – Litigation Services at Merrill adds, “Our clients are becoming more demanding in their ESI processing requirements and this partnership with Index Engines is key in meeting these demands and providing state of the art technology. We have evaluated many solutions and Index Engines stands out in their ability to process and manage all sources of enterprise data including online network servers and legacy content on backup tapes, at unprecedented speed and efficiency.”
